Many people are amazed that others make money online. First of all, with the Internet in full swing and basically the center of business nowadays, it is very easy to come up with ideas for online money-making ventures. This is why so many entrepreneurs have banked off of concepts like myspace and twitter. There is so much foot traffic on the World Wide Web every day. Naturally you can imagine the potential here. One of the easiest ways to earn money in your spare time is with blogging. Virtually anyone can blog for money online, and it does not require a lot of esoteric knowledge.

Let’s pretend you have never written a blog; never tried to earn money from the comfort of your home; and have very little experience with online business. The first thing you should know is that you do not have to spend any cash in order to blog for money online. However, if you take this route, you will have to put forth a little bit of effort with writing. Initially the most important thing to do is come up with a blog topic or niche. For example, if you want to talk about the latest trends in fashion, you should come up with a title that sums up your blog in a few words. This will assist your blog with getting placed well with search engines. The title is crucial when you blog for money.

Secondly, you need to offer some exclusive information if you really want you blog to be unique. What can you offer the world or net community that is useful? If you have the inside scoop on the latest fashion trends, you can address these trends, which will draw in a certain crowd who are interested in fashion. At this point the key is maintaining your blog and keeping things interesting. After all, you do not want to lose your entire audience because you dropped the ball for a few weeks.

If you really want to blog for money, you need to keep in mind ways to earn. One popular tool at your disposal is Blogger.com. This sit allows anyone to sign up for a free account and start creating blogs. Once you do this, you can sign up for a free Google Adsense account as well. This way after you create a blog, you can have Google ads placed on it that pertain to your topic of niches. Every time someone clicks an ad, you earn money through Google. This is how many people blog for money these days. Since Blogger already has the adsense feature on their site, it is easy to add to your blog. If you prefer to purchase a domain name for a small price, you can also use Adsense, but you do not have to have the blogspot location as part of your site name. Some web publishers and bloggers prefer this route. However, since Blogger is owned by Google, it can be beneficial to use their site to blog for money.

It seems that each generation finds some new way of expressing themselves that seeps into the general public. In many ways different phrases and expressions are more likely popularized by young people than by any other group of the population. They may take a line out of a movie or song and apply it to everyday life. Soon adults are doing the same thing and the trend spreads across the country. Have you ever experienced hearing the same phrase so many times that the origin of it gets lost. This is quite common with a great deal of our slang.

One of the newest forms of communicating with large groups of people is blogging. Some people think this started through computer geeks, but I am more inclined to believe that it got started through teenagers. It is very easy to create a blog and there are multiple websites available to share your space with millions. I do not have children so I had not heard of having a blog until I over heard a few of my younger co-workers talking about this. One of the co-workers was reprimanded for blogging at work. When I heard this I inquired what this meant. The concept of blogging was shared with me. At first I found it hard to believe that people would create a blog site about there personal life and others would go to the site and be interested. I did not think anyone would be interested enough in my life to go to a site.

I was discussing this with one of my sisters over lunch because her son was going to create a blog site that he wanted everyone in the extended family to contribute to. He thought this would be a great way to keep up with everyone. We could download pictures, let others know what we were doing and plan family gatherings all in one space. This was a good idea. I have lost touch with many of my nieces and nephews now that they are adults and raising children. Having one space where holiday gatherings could be planned was also a great idea because it would cut down on the number of phone calls that would have to be made. I was surprised to find out that it does not cost anything to create a blog and that multiple people can share one site. Since that time my nephew has created the site and most of our family members are contributing to it. This has been a fun way to keep updated with everyone and the best part is that you can do this at a time that is convenient for you.

With the rise of youtubes popularity came the boom of video blogging with its displays of impressive talent, hilarious moments, gratuitous opinions and shameless self promotion. Who can forget the Numa Numa guy, the Star Wars kid, the lonelygirl15 fiasco (which ended rather sadly), All Your Base Are Belong To Us, Charlie the Unicorn, the Evolution of Dance, and of course the infamous Chris Crocker, brought the point of tears by his devotion to Britney (the person, not the persona). Video blogging somehow has a knack for going viral way more than normal blogging does. And its never been so easy to get your 15 minutes of fame, even more.

But how and why did video blogging get so popular? There are different reasons that various people might propose. Maybe its just a more visible form of self expressionpeople have always been expressing themselves but it wasnt until now with the internet that they were able to do so on such a widespread basis. Trends have also existed as well, and video blogging is currently the next big thing. That might sort of explain the how, so what about the why? It could come down to the simple fact that people just love to talk about themselves, thats why they express themselves so much. Some people point to how this is a generation of oversharingpeople often share intimate details and post up personal pictures all where everyone can see them. This is mind boggling to some people who cant believe that people would give up their privacy so flippantly, but sometimes its hard to feel be aware of the effects of oversharing until they blow up in your face. Lurkers are easy to disregard, but when you end up in the news for ditching work and posting a picture proving it, its hard to ignore that exposure.

This isnt to say that video bloggers are all attention seekers. Theres nothing inherently wrong with expressing oneself, and sometimes video blogging can be genuinely entertaining or inspiring. Often these video blogs are the ones that are the most real. Unfortunately, reality gets distorted such as in lonelygirl15, which people reacted very badly to. Others questioned whether Chris Crocker was just acting to create drama. After all, video bloggers film themselves and choose what to put up there. Would you normally want people to see you acting totally and embarrassingly hysterical?

Its clear now that video blogging is now more than just self expression. Its a viable, influential medium that will likely continue to have considerable impact in the future and while this is certain, the direction in which it will go is not.

Blogs run rampant on the internet as people clamor to document their trials and tribulations, to share pearls of wisdom and in general share their lives with the world. The greater the quantity of blogs, the greater the opportunity for comparison and inevitably some blogs will be better than others. Why are some blogs overloaded with traffic while others struggle for hits? Theres a reason why some blogs are successes and others arent. There are some little things you can do to increase traffic to your blog, but the success of your blog largely rides on how well you blog, simple as that. Some people are good bloggers, others are not. Starting a blog doesnt cost anything, so anyone can start one. But not everyone can start a good blog and sustain it.

Good blogs are a pleasure to read; bad blogs are dull and elicit eye rolls. If youre thinking about starting a blog, think about what youre going to blog about. Are you recording your day-to-day happenings, or are you blogging about a specific topic? Once you have your subject matter, think about whether you actually have something to say. Many blogs fail because they have a lot to tell, but not a lot to say about it. You should also think about why you want to say what you have to say. The best bloggers are earnest about what they write and it shows through in their blogging.

When starting a blog, you should take into account how much time you have to contribute to it. Readers like blogs that update regularly. Of course therell be times when unexpected things swamp you, but too often people get too busy or uninterested in blogging any further, every entry becomes an apology for not posting as much, and then the blog dies out. Unless you have a good reason to stop, you should intend to follow through with your blogging. And speaking of readers, a blog depends on its readers to survive. If no one is reading your blog, then its just a personal journal that happens to be lying around for someone to possibly discover. After starting a blog, you might want to network and read other peoples blogs as well so that they check yours out too.

So to start a good blog, you definitely need insight, commitment and exposure. This might be debatable, but talent plays a role as well. Some people are gifted with the ability to write well, and this is important since a blog basically communicates through written word. If you like to write and youre good at it to boot, then your blog is near guaranteed success.
